Be Mine - Chapter#9

 Yawar may have threatened Shahina about the consequences but he knowns that it wouldn’t be possible, his vocations are coming to end and he didn’t want a bitter farewell form her. In fact, he wanted to take a sweet memory of her, although the chances for it was impossible but still, he wished for it. 

Soon the news of the little prank Shahina did to Yawar reached every ear in the Main House. With astonished face Amma-Bi inquired Shahina about the truth, as she was still unable to believe and thought that Yawar planned this to create problem for her. However, when Shahina remained silent on her questions everything become clear. Amma-Bi didn’t scold her but made sure that she understood about her unwise deed.

Amma-Bi was the eldest person in the Black Eagles’ family. Her life experience was more than anyone and she was practically a mother to both Shahina and Yawar. She has noticed the recent change in Yawar’s gaze towards Shahina and it made her worried. Yawar's temperament is not something a fragile girl like Shahina could handle. Amma-bi always thought that Shahina's life partner should be someone like Ahad, who is calm and collected, yet cunning enough to pull her out from her past. Not like Yawar who allows his emotions to take decisions. This part of Yawar's personality is very similar to Moosa but he is still not composed as him, perhaps it was because of his young age and it is most concerning for Amma-bi.

Time flew by with a blink of an eye. A whole year has passed since Yawar saw Shahina. He regretted that he wasn't able to see her before departure. According to Amma-bi, she was sick and didn't leave her room for two days. Yawar had his doubts about her fever but it wasn't like he could do something. Yawar didn't even take his revenge on ruining his car thinking it might become a reason for her to run away and he would be left with no choice but to leave without a farewell. However, in the end the result were the same despite his effort. 

Yawar spent a whole year sulking about it and kept thinking about her. At one point he thought of giving order to one of the Main House worker to keep him update about Shahina but soon dropped the idea because he didn't have an explanation if Moosa finds out about it. Therefore, he left with no option other than waiting for his holidays. And finally when the time comes, he didn't realize that many surprising news were waiting for him in the main house.

On Yawar's return to the Main House after a long year, he found out that Shahina chooses politics and law to study instead of going towards engineering as she decided before. It was quite news for him, Shahina and politics were two different things, even her selecting engineering seemed hilarious to him, but this. On inquiring Natasha about her thinking, he found nothing. She was unaware of the reason as he was.

Yawar mostly spent his time with Moosa and Amma-bi, Natasha got busy with the preparations of Ahad’s wedding and Shahina engulfed herself totally in her study. She barely left her room and it was even harder for him to see her. She goes to college every morning and after reaching home she takes some rest before leaving to the library, and in the evening her training classes are scheduled. His one and only reason for joy was out of his reach now and it was annoying him. 

“Why does she go to library daily?” Yawar finally asked Amma-bi when he couldn’t hold himself more.

“To study.” Came Amma-bi’s simple answer. 

“She can study at home too.”

“If she wants to go then she is allowed to go. We won’t force her.”

“Who is asking to force her into anything. I have noticed everyone is so overprotective of her.”

“Because she is a girl.”

“And what does it have to do with her being a girl? It's not like someone is fool enough to mess with the girl of Black Eagles' family."

"It's not like that Yawar." She answered staring into space, "Girls are like birds, once they leave their parents nest, they wont return.” 

“What that’s supposed to mean?”

Amma-bi let out a deep breath and said, “There will be a day when she will be married and left us. Though, I am not sure about her agreeing to get married but I wish that she found someone worthy of her.”

Her words hit Yawar like a brick and he quickly respond, “She is not even an adult Amma-bi and marriage is out of question.”

 “Why?” She asked.

“Because… she is so young.”

“She isn’t getting married tomorrow.”

“Enough with this marriage talk Amma-bi, let’s go to shopping with me.”

“Shopping?" 

"I want you to buy you a dress."

"I have enough already." 

"Then buy something else."

"Why are you suddenly insisting on it." 

"If you don't want to go with me just say so. There is no need to ask so many questions." He made a displeased face while getting up. At this Amma-bi smiled and agreed to go with him.
